Sustainable Finance 2025: BNP Paribas Personal Finance surpasses €17 billion sustainable finance outstandings

Miruna, could you remind us of our ambition in terms of sustainability?

Our ambition is to support our customers and partners in a sustainable and fair transition, to support the financing of consumption that is both more responsible and more sustainable but also more inclusive.

The various actions we carry out around the world are based on 3 pillars:

1️⃣ To be exemplary as a company and employer,

2️⃣ To transform our activities, our operating models and our offers,

3️⃣ To make a positive impact beyond our business in our fields of expertise.

If employees had to remember 3 key figures from the 2025 results, what would they be?

We have many key figures to illustrate our activity, which revolve around the energy transition of housing, sustainable mobility and financial inclusion.

If employees had to pick 3, I would say:

  • €17 billion: this is the amount devoted to sustainable financing, i.e. 16% of BNP Paribas Personal Finance’s total outstandings (+70% versus 2024)
  • 3.2 billion: this is the amount of credit we have granted to underserved customers in the financial system as part of financial inclusion. This is the first year that we have measured this aspect of our activity and I am delighted about it because it is the company’s primary mission. This provides concrete proof of the commitment we made in our corporate purpose: support our customers in accessing credit. It makes me very proud to be able to include the outstandings linked to financial inclusion in our 2025 results.
  • 2 million: this is the amount of donations made by BNP Paribas Personal Finance to associations working on themes related to our 3 pillars: financial education, social inclusion and responsible consumption.

What were the highlights of 2025?

The top 5 highlights were:

🚗 The significant increase in outstandings for clean transportation thanks to the signing of great partnerships in all countries by promoting electric vehicles

👉 The recognition of a third pillar :  financial inclusion

🫂 The change in the Cetelem Foundation’s purpose, which broadens its scope towards social inclusion for people in vulnerability. Social inclusion is not an option but the guarantee of a strong society.

🏆 The award obtained at the “Grand Prix for financial education” in the Educational Programme category as part of the Global Money Week (a global campaign organised by the OECD to raise awareness of financial issues among young people and help them manage their money through a prize). This award is important to us because financial education is a very long-standing commitment and very legitimate given our activity.

🏡 The new Domofinance offer, which has differentiated strengths to capture the potential of renovation work and accelerate the transformation of the market, particularly in condominiums. Domofinance is one of the largest contributors to BNP Paribas Personal Finance’s sustainable outstandings because all of the entity’s activity is sustainable by nature
