In 2026, the Cetelem Foundation turns a new page
After years focused on digital inclusion, the Cetelem Foundation is shifting its direction. Since December 2025, its mission has expanded to address broader vulnerabilities: isolation, mental and/or physical health, and violence. In 2026, this repositioning toward social inclusion for vulnerable individuals takes full shape.
They explain it best
Two members of the Cetelem Foundation’s Executive Committee took part in interviews, each paired with a representative from a supported association: Entourage and the French Red Cross.
Leurs échanges disent l’essentiel : pourquoi ce changement d’objet, ce que l’accompagnement de la Fondation Cetelem change concrètement sur le terrain et ce que « lien social » signifie quand on le vit au quotidien.
What is the new mission of the Cetelem Foundation in 2026?
n December 2025, the Cetelem Foundation officially updated its statutory purpose. After years dedicated to digital inclusion, it is now embarking on a new chapter: social inclusion for vulnerable individuals.
This shift is not arbitrary. It reflects a deep-seated conviction: acting where needs are most urgent. Today, France’s social landscape reveals concerning realities:
- 15.4% of French people live below the poverty line (Source: INSEE)
- 12% of the population suffers from relational isolation
- 560,000 people experience physical and/or sexual violence each year (Source: French Ministry of the Interior)
- 13% of the population is affected by depressive episodes (Source: Santé publique France – DREES)
In response, the Cetelem Foundation has defined three priority action areas:
- Strengthening social connections to combat isolation and foster local solidarity.
- Supporting mental and/or physical health for individuals whose well-being impacts their life journey.
- Fighting violence by backing associations that protect and assist victims.
What are the ambitions of the Cetelem Foundation for 2026?
2026 is the year of action. Following its statutory update, the Cetelem Foundation has set clear objectives for its first full year under its new mandate.
First focus: Intergenerational bonds
For 2026, the Foundation is prioritizing intergenerational connections. The goal is to rigorously select associations, address their real needs, and provide tailored, professional support.
Support beyond funding
The Cetelem Foundation offers more than financial aid. Selected associations will benefit from comprehensive support, including:
👉 Pro bono expertise (access to internal specialists in communication, marketing, legal, etc.) for some,
👉 Networking with other foundations, associations, or strategic partners,
👉 Active listening and regular follow-ups throughout the year.
The Cetelem Foundation aims to remain a trusted partner.
