Hello Augusto, what is your “Unexpected Job” ?
I’d say I’m like the Master Yoda of Retail !
In order for my team to move forward with confidence, file after file, without ever losing sight of the client’s interest, my role is to :
- Motivate Retail Jedi, creating a pleasant work environment and support my team members in their challenges to keep them engaged and fulfilled;
- To guide by giving them the necessary means to achieve the objectives set;
- To increase Cetelem’s reputation by developing its attractiveness on the Portuguese market.
In short, I support and reveal the strength of my team in order to expand the Cetelem Galaxy.
If I had to summarize my work in 3 missions, it would be:
- I support my teams and our B2B customers;
- I develop and plan the various commercial action plans;
- I monitor KPIs by regularly measuring business results against objectives.
What’s your “little something extra” ? 🍷
I am a wine and olive oil producer in the Douro region of Portugal.
Indeed, this winemaking activity is a family heritage dating back to 1735. A few years ago, when I lost my father, with my 5 brothers and sisters, we made the choice to take over the business together. This was possible because we gained the knowledge we needed from our family.
I can reconcile these two professions today because we have a well-structured organization and a relationship of trust within the family.
My 3 goals for the family business:
- Honouring and perpetuating the family business : maintaining the business and preserving the tradition.
- Linking tourism and production : creating a link between tourism in the Douro region and the production of wine and olive oil.
- Launching my own brand : my dream is to develop my own wine brand on the market.
Because life is not just about work, what are your “3 Blissful Moments a Day” ? 😄
- Reading books 📚 : To relax and think about something else, I read a lot, mainly historical and biographies.
- Participate in wine tasting events 🍇 : Definitely, I’m passionate! Wine fairs and tasting days are events that bring together wine lovers, it’s a real pleasure to participate. But in the end, I think that doing simple tastings with friends will still be my favorite activity.
- Participate in equestrian events 🐎 : I have a real passion for the equestrian world. Portuguese equestrian art is a true monument to Portuguese culture and identity. It has even been inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2024 !
The mascot has a magic wand, what are your 3 wishes for BNP Paribas Personal Finance ? ✨
- To continue to make customer satisfaction a pillar of our business.
- To value the development of teams in the same way as performance.
- That innovation occupies a central place : more means to experiment, simplified processes, efficient AI tools, etc…
