La fondation Cetelem
The Cetelem Foundation
Social inclusion for people in vulnerable situations
The Cetelem Foundation was created in 1992 and operates under the aegis of the Fondation de France. Beyond the guarantee of quality that this affiliation represents, the Fondation de France provides us with guidance, expertise, and an appropriate administrative, legal, and fiscal framework.
Over the years, the mission of the Cetelem Foundation has evolved to better address social challenges. Since 2018, it has focused particularly on inclusion through digital sharing.
In 2025, the Cetelem Foundation decided to expand its scope of action by adopting a new mission: “Social inclusion for people in vulnerable situations.”
In France, 12% of people live in relational isolation.1 Social isolation and loneliness have negative impacts on both physical and mental health, with social and economic consequences.2 The Cetelem Foundation aims to help break this cycle of isolation for people in vulnerable situations, by supporting them in regaining a sense of purpose and usefulness.
For the 2026 call for projects, which will be launched in November 2025, we wish to highlight initiatives that strengthen social connections.

The 3 areas of intervention of the Cetelem Foundation
In light of its new mission “social inclusion for people in vulnerable situations,” the Cetelem Foundation will now focus its action around three major axes:
Strengthening social connections
- Helping people in vulnerable situations overcome isolation.
- Encouraging a more peaceful future through the alleviation and/or resolution of personal difficulties.
Supporting mental and/or physical health
- Working to destigmatize and raise visibility for people suffering from mental and/or physical health conditions, as well as those with disabilities.
- Ensuring that people directly affected are involved in designing and implementing support solutions.
Combating violence
- Promoting active listening and helping victims break the cycle of violence.
- Raising awareness about the cumulative nature and impact of violence.
Call for projects
For the 2026 call for projects, the Cetelem Foundation has chosen to highlight the support of social ties.
At a time when 2 million people in France suffer from imposed loneliness3, the Cetelem Foundation will particularly support projects that contribute to fostering intergenerational bonds through collective activities or solidarity actions between generations.
Launch date of the 2026 call for projects: 17 November 2025
