#1MillionHours2Help: Swapping working hours to volunteer with an association

#1MillionHours2Help: It’s the BNP Paribas Group’s volunteering programme for a more inclusive and environmentally friendly world.

In 2020, the BNP Paribas Group decided to give all its employees 1 million paid hours to help the community.

For BNP Paribas Personal Finance, the aim of the programme is to allow employees to use their work hours to help associations linked to 4 areas that the company values: digital and social inclusion, financial education, youth, and environmental protection.

Volunteers can carry out volunteering missions alone or as a group, such as helping to train young people in difficulty, taking part in “Responsible budgeting” workshops as part of financial education programmes, or supporting charities working to protect the environment.

Despite the COVID-19 crisis, the #1MillionHours2Help programme has remained active, particularly thanks to missions carried out remotely.

Xavier Camouilly, Digital Strategy & Monitoring Manager at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, volunteered his time with the JobIRL association to help two students looking for internships write their CVs and cover letters.

He tells us about his human experience.
