With the #1MillionHours2Help programme, the BNP Paribas Group offers its employees the opportunity to work for a cause that is close to their hearts, on their own time. More specifically, at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, employees can get involved in 4 themes that are important to the company: education, professional integration of young people, digital inclusion and environmental protection.
Through the actions in which it participates and the programme it supports, the BNP Paribas Personal Finance Group is a deeply rooted and committed player in society.
With the #1MillionHours2Help programme, it wants to enable its employees to invest their working time in causes that serve a more inclusive and environmentally friendly world.
In addition to the EVE program, skill-based sponsorship programmes, international environmental initiatives such as #Biketowork or #DayZero, digital inclusion and budgeting programmes, or even inclusion programmes, BNP Paribas Personal Finance - as part of the Group's movement - therefore offers volunteers the opportunity to donate their working time to an association or cause to which they wish to commit.
The concept is simple: 1 million hours are made available to all employees of the BNP Paribas Group worldwide until the end of 2020, which is equivalent to a little over half a day of solidarity hours per employee per year.
Volunteers at BNP Paribas Personal Finance can carry out individual or group solidarity missions, such as coaching or training young people, tutoring, or team-building with associations working in the following four areas:
- the professional integration of young people,
- numerical inclusion,
- environmental protection.
Véronique Berthout, head of company engagement for positive impact business at BNP Paribas Personal Finance and who took part in setting up the project, tells us more about it...
