Our Manifesto in Action:”People wish to save money and reduce energy… The TrustMark initiative is vital, innovative and needed!”
Our commitment: Help our customers reduce their environmental footprint by informing and guiding them on their own ecological impact; by offering them access to more sustainable and affordable solutions for their home, by developing these solutions with partners who share our sustainability principles and objectives.
From insulation to ventilation including heating, energy renovation work can improve the energy performance of your home. Even if the costs are far from negligible, undertaking home improvements can be very beneficial for people as they improve comfort in the home. And by reducing energy consumption, bills go down too. Most importantly, from an environmental point of view, they have become vital in order to reduce global warming and prevent the depletion of the planet’s resources.
So even if the benefits are obvious, for consumers, it is not always easy to know how to get started, as renovations can seem complex. For example, how do you select the types of renovation to be carried out and also find trusted workmen? How will you then finance the work? And how can you be sure to improve the energy performance of your home sweet home?
Let’s go to the UK! At the time of the COP26 in Glasgow, the energy transition is high on the UK Government agenda, as it is in many places around the world. Aware of the difficulties experienced by individuals about it, the teams of BNP Paribas Personal Finance in the United Kingdom worked hand in hand with Government departments to support the financing of home improvements promoting the energy transition, both for lenders and the customer experience.
Have you met Stephen Huller, Director of Home Improvement at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK? Here he explains the scope of the great TrustMark project — an initiative that supports our company purpose by fully fitting into the framework of our Manifesto, and which he considers vital, innovative and needed!
