30th Birthday for the Cetelem Foundation
Since its creation in 1992, the “Cetelem Foundation, educating for enterprise” has been placed under the auspices of the Fondation de France. However, in 2018, it changed its title and its objective, and decided to focus more specifically on inclusion via digital sharing. Today, the Cetelem Foundation promotes inclusion through digital sharing, and in 2021 it supported 15 charities, and helped 511,826 beneficiaries.
What are the missions of the Cetelem foundation?
They focus on e-inclusion as a lever for social and economic integration, with three main areas of action:
- Access to digital
- The transmission of digital skills
- Digital sharing
What are the different activities of the Cetelem Foundation?
It promotes the dynamics of solidarity and sharing via digital technology, through its support for public interest projects.
1. Financial sponsorship:
The Cetelem Foundation supports digital inclusion projects, and in 2019, in three fields of action: social inclusion, professional inclusion, and education. .
2. Sponsorship in kind:
IIn this case, meaning donations of IT equipment. For example, the collection of mobile phones, carried out for the benefit of Homeless+, which looks after the homeless.
3. Skills sponsorship:
As part of the BNP Paribas Volunteering Program, entitled 1 Million Hours 2 Help, a multitude of employees have donated their time to help and train people in new digital techniques and practices.
Some of the projects supported in 2021:
- The founding of the “ADN Mobile” Tricycle with the Association Science Technologie Société, which aims to support Parisians in their Digital endeavours.
- Participation in the Numérique En Commun (NEC) conference, bringing together a community of professionals, acting on a day to day basis for digital technology in the public interest.
- The founding of the “Cocotte de Montreuil”, with the Association Positive Planet France, aiming to help entrepreneurs in priority neighbourhoods of the city to establish their businesses. Every year the charity supports an average of 240 business creations there.

Some of the projects supported since 2018:
· Homeless plus: Development of an app for supporting and maintaining links with the homeless
· Innov’Avenir: promoting the orientation of young people from priority neighbourhoods and rural areas towards the jobs of the future.
· École de la 2ème Chance: E-Nova – creation of a community environment oriented towards employment and monitoring young people’s paths from education to careers.
· Votre école chez vous: Development of virtual classes for children with serious illnesses.
· WeTechCare : Development of the Les Bons Clics platform, to increase the skills of people with digital difficulties, providing a solution adapted to caregivers and professionals in support services, and the networking of stakeholders in digital inclusion
