“This skills contribution programme is an opportunity to open up to the extraordinary world outside.
BNP Paribas has initiated various sponsorship programmes: financial aid, equipment donation and skills contribution. They all serve the general interest and are one of the bases of BNP Paribas’s commitment.
The concept of skills contribution is quite simple. A few years from retirement, employees may sometimes feel a desire to contribute to projects that go beyond the company framework.
To offer them additional freedom and mobility, BNP Paribas is engaged in various partnerships as part of the programme. It’s an opportunity for these employees to provide their skills to those who need it the most.
Delphine is one of the many employees at the end of their career who, each year, make the choice to provide their professional and human skills to a charity in line with their values.
For her, the choice was Apprentis d’Auteuil, a charity that has worked for 150 years to prevent exclusion through education. Apprentis d’Auteuil builds a project with each individual that will enable them to find their place in society.
Apprentis d’Auteuil provides support to more than 30,000 young people and families, through 240 reception and training centres. The NGO, which has more than 5,700 employees and 4,500 volunteers, offers 77 training courses from CAP to BTS vocational qualifications in 12 main sectors (construction, hotels, catering, horticulture, mechanics, etc.).
No one is left behind. Parents, the primary educators, are guided to be able to form or re-form solid bonds with their children to learn or re-learn educational habits.
As Audrey says, “confidence can save the future” and that is why Apprentis d’Auteuil works to restore confidence to all those who have lost it so they may find a place in society.
