Since its launch in 2023, The Lucine program<\/strong> has established itself as a key program<\/strong> to promote gender diversity in Tech professions <\/strong>within BNP Paribas Personal Finance.\u00a0Carine Ivanenko<\/strong>, Chief Information Officer at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, demonstrates her commitment to gender diversity in the tech industry by launching this program, which continues to grow every year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Roman goddess of light, Lucine is the standard-bearer of this programme, which aims to highlight the feminisation of IT professions<\/strong> and to promote the skills of  <\/strong>BNP Paribas‘ female IT talents.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

Building on its success, the program continues to grow with, in 2025, 5 new classes<\/strong>: 3 in France and <\/strong>2 internationally.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

These classes welcome 65 employees from 11 Group entities<\/strong>, including 18 from BNP Paribas Personal Finance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

A structured program to break down barriers<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

The Lucine program aims to support women in IT<\/strong> to overcome limiting barriers and dare<\/strong> to assert themselves in a sector still dominated by men. It is built on:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

  • Awareness<\/strong> of gender diversity issues and challenges in the sector,<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Internal mentoring<\/strong> with managers and IT experts from the Group,<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n

  • External training<\/strong> to develop leadership, confidence, and influence,<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Sharing experiences <\/strong>with role models from the Tech world.<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

    An increasing impact in 2025<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Since its creation in 2023, 22 women <\/strong>from diverse backgrounds have benefited from the program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    \n

    This growth marks a turning point for Lucine<\/strong>, gaining visibility and recognition, particularly through its acknowledgment by ITG as part of the Women in IT <\/em><\/strong>program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    5 promotions to go even further<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

    The year 2025 will be marked by the simultaneous launch of two new cohorts:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    • Three in France<\/strong>, to continue integrating female talent into local IT teams,<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
      \n
    • Two internationally<\/strong>, to broaden the program\u2019s impact and promote intercultural sharing and enrichment (Belgium and Spain<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

      Testimonies: feedback from 3 participants<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

      The Lucine program is above all a human adventure, marked by personal and professional growth. Three women from the 2024 promotion<\/strong> share how the program benefited them and what they particularly appreciated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

      \n

      Solid\u2019elles, the second promotion of Lucine, really gave me wings to reach out to future generations of young women in middle and high schools. Without the program, I\u2019m not sure I would have taken the time to do this! During career forums, I presented the job of enterprise architect and enjoyed planting a small seed in the minds of young girls, who are still few in number to consider a future in IT. I also appreciated the personal co-development sessions, became aware of cognitive biases, and expanded my network by meeting IT women in Nantes and those at Nickel to whom I presented the program.       Lucine did me a lot of good! First, in terms of introspection. I learned to know myself better, to identify my strengths and desires. I also worked on being more open to others, to our environment, and to our ecosystem. But above all, I became aware of the many cognitive biases present in our daily lives and accepted that I, too, was directly affected by these biases in my way of being. This awareness allowed me to adjust my approach to these issues by giving myself permission to challenge those biases. Advocating for women in IT or even beyond is not about denying differences; it\u2019s about detecting, understanding, and addressing them. Second realization: the strength of the collective and sisterhood. Yes, we need to learn to support each other and be united. So, if I had to give advice to future Lucine participants, it would be: Don\u2019t hesitate to join, and truly take that time for yourself. This gift of meeting new people, exchanging, sharing, and listening to yourself is invaluable.<\/p>Sarah Deglicourt<\/strong>

      What I appreciated most about the Lucine program was the complete absence of judgment about the experiences shared. I realized I wasn\u2019t alone: knowing that others faced the same difficulties was reassuring. The workshops helped me reflect deeply on myself, both professionally and personally. They allowed me to better understand my strengths, desires, and areas for improvement. This program provided me with a valuable space to step back and move forward with greater clarity.
